The Ghostly Dagger

According to Coxe, it is claimed that at a churchyard in Milford Haven, a dagger appears on a particular headstone at certain phases of the moon. It is said to be proof of a murder - but is the person buried there the victim or the murderer? More so, Coxe does not identify which graveyard in Milford Haven! We are assuming he means the main cemetery, but this is yet to be confirmed.

The Phantom Tomb

In 1854, Mr Pavin Phillips was walking around a churchyard in Milford Haven, when he saw an impressive tomb, complete with railings that was the resting place for a local dignitary. Such was the impression that the tomb made on him, he mentioned it to his father. He was astonished to hear from Mr Phillips elder, that no such tomb existed due to it being too expensive. Pavin refused to believe this, so the pair went back to the churchyard, but where he had seen the tomb only a simple mound was present. It was only in 1856 that the relatives afforded to build a memorial – and it was exactly like Pavin had described…

Milford Haven (Welsh: Aberdaugleddau, meaning "mouth of the two Rivers Cleddau") is a town in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

It lies on the north side of the Milford Haven Waterway, an estuary forming a natural harbour that has been used as a port since the Middle Ages.
